Arnold L. Malabre & Company is one of the oldest businesses in Kingston, Jamaica. Its historical connections date as far back as 1825 when the nucleus was formed under the style of William Titley & Company as hardware and commission agents. In 1842 Arnold Malabre, upon attaining a college education in England, became attached to William Titley & Company in Jamaica. Arnold rose through the ranks and was viewed in such high esteem by his employer that when William Titley Jr. retired in 1856, the firm became known as Arnold L. Malabre & Company.
